The Local Government Pension Scheme Local Pension Board comprises six members. Three represent scheme employers and three represent scheme members. Membership is as follows:

How are members recruited to the Board?
The process for appointing members was agreed by the Council in March 2015. Details of the process used are set in the report to Council.
What does the Local Pension Board do?
The Local Pension Board has the authority to assist Northamptonshire County Council (as the administering authority of the Northamptonshire Local Government Pension Scheme) in securing compliance with the the Principal 2013 Pension Regulations; and other legislation; and any requirements imposed by the Pensions Regulator in relation to the Scheme. It also has the authority to assist the administering authority in ensuring the effective and efficient governance and administration of the Scheme.
