Pensions dashboards
Overview
Most people will change jobs several times during their working life. This means they may have more than one pension. Pensions dashboards is a government initiative. It will allow people to access information about their pensions online, through a secure pensions dashboard. This means you’ll be able to see details about all your pension benefits, from all your pension providers, including your State Pension, in one place. This will help you with planning your retirement.
Online pension account
You’ll continue to get more detailed information about your LGPS benefits with us, including modelling of different retirement scenarios through your online pension account. If you haven’t registered for your online pension account yet, you can sign up here. You’ll need your National Insurance number handy.
Check your personal data
When you use a pensions dashboard, you’ll be asked to input certain personal data. The dashboard will then use that data to search for any pensions you have built up, including with us. This process is called ‘matching’. To match you with your pension benefits it’s essential that the personal data we hold for you, like:
- first name
- surname
- date of birth
- current address
- email address
- mobile number
is correct. Please update your personal details if they’ve changed.
When can I access pensions dashboards?
We don’t yet know when dashboards will be available to the public, but it is likely to be towards the end of 2026. The MoneyHelper dashboard, provided by the Government, will launch first, followed by commercial dashboards offered by banks and other financial organisations.
We’ll update this page when we’ve more details.
